Everybody is a story — it’s worth remembering.

Storytelling is a process of using words and actions to reveal a story, it is a form of people’s interaction. We tell stories to communicate to each other, to share information or entertain, to inspire and encourage one another and also to heal.

Stories can be told in many different ways, including through the art. There is unexplained magic that happens when you tell your story. You pause and reflect on yourself and your life, and you acknowledge your every emotion. You start to be intensely aware of yourself, you begin living in a moment, instead of trying to delay life whilst waiting for a factor X. You start valuing every second of your existence and start locating yourself in this world. You listen to yourself and you simply feel great when you realise that your story can influence other people.

As a medical doctor, a well-being advocate and a person who works for ambulance services, I understand that storytelling can be as important as any medical treatment because it is only through sharing stories you can really understand a patient, hear them, connect with them and help them to heal physically or emotionally.

So here I am inviting you to explore my new project — «Stories and destinies», which is much more than just a blog. It is my story and stories of people I met. I created it with the dream of helping others to learn to live in a moment and to acknowledge the importance of arts in medicine.

Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine.
