Some time ago when I relocated to the United Kingdom, my biggest dream was to become a doctor in this wonderful country. I felt that it was the only thing that could make me happy and content. Also, being a very intuitive person, I felt responsible for promises I made to myself, my parents and all people that I met throughout my medical schooling in Belarus. However, a new life in a very new place is not always easy, so I had to start my journey from mastering language skills and working harder than ever before towards accomplishing my personal goals.

My work was quite intense. My routine involved a lot of travelling from the place where I worked and lived to Coventry where I was completing my clinical attachment at the neurosurgery department of the Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust at a time. As much as I was exhausted by my constant travelling and such fast life pace, I was very thankful to my destiny for bringing me where I was and for surrounding me with all those wonderful people who have eventually become my friends.

One part of my new life in the new country was my temporary work at the local café shop where I met a lot of wonderful people, including Mr A., who was one of the most extraordinary managers I have ever met before.

Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine.
