Who loves to draw and paint — that person is me.

For me, drawing and painting have always meant a lot as both of them help to reveal something very personal and very intimate, to open up to the world and to calm down when I am stressed or worried. So for me, art has always been and still is a type of meditation.

For as long as I remember myself, I remember my strong connection to all sorts of creative things… and I still believe that inspired life needs creativity and uncovering your true self though things you do, even through your work.

I also remember being actively involved in art whilst studying medicine. I even organised several one-man exhibitions in Minsk, Belarus at that time….but then there was a break and quite a long one … It just seemed to me that medicine and art are not compatible.

I only recently realised that medicine can be quite humane and that there is something creative in all patients, but we have to be able to see it.

..Everyone has a story….

Do you think it is possible to see a creative side in medicine❓❓❓

(The photo is of me with my artwork from my art series “My Vilnius” during my medical schooling times.)

Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine.
